More Audience

A weekly audience of over 3.3 million and climbing . . .

Each week, over 3.3 million U.S. listeners* tune in for A Prairie Home Companion's broadcasts, over three times the number of listeners charted in 1989. "I love that [radio's] portable and people can carry it around in their ear as they bike or run or walk down Michigan Avenue or sit looking out over the Grand Canyon. You can live your life and still listen to it."
Garrison Keillor,
UTNE Reader, September 2001

And aired more times each week by its stations
Two-thirds of A Prairie Home Companion's stations air a weekly repeat of the two-hour broadcast, often on Sunday. In many markets, listeners can tune in for the full broadcast on both Saturday and Sunday.

And around the globe
A Prairie Home Companion is heard on the Armed Forces Network Europe and Armed Forces Far East Network and on two overseas radio networks. The program, despite its origins in the American Midwest, seems to have made a successful leap overseas: World Radio Geneva (Switzerland), in a survey, found that A Prairie Home Companion topped the list of the programs that listeners valued most.
