FUTURE FAMILY MEMBERS will be able to learn about your family today when you make your story a part of the Minnesota Family Album.
You can use this Web page to tell about your own family. (It's a great family activity!) When you finish your stories, you can donate your Family Album to the Minnesota Historical Society, which will archive it forever. Ten, twenty, even a hundred years from now, your family's descendants will be able to see what you were thinking about family life back in 1997.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Write your family into history! Print out this Family Album page and respond to the questions. Attach a photo if you'd like, but please identify everyone by writing on the back of the photograph. You may submit your album pages one of the following ways:
1. Mail the results to the Minnesota Historical Society, MHS Family Album, 345 Kellogg Blvd. W., St. Paul, MN 55102.
2. Or bring them to the free "Picturing Ourselves" Family Festival at the Minnesota History Center on Sunday, November 9, 1997.
3. Or drop them by the "Families" exhibit at the History Center anytime during regular History Center hours. Please note: Family Albums will take some time to process and catalogue. You'll be able to access them at the Historical Society by February 1, 1998. Only submissions from Minnesota families will be permanently archived.
1. What is your family's favorite "family story," the one that's told over and over again?
