HOW TO ENTER THE ABOVE GIVEAWAY
No purchase or pledge necessary. Entries for the above giveaway can be made by making a membership pledge to Minnesota Public Radio between 12 a.m. August 21, 2003 and 11:59 p.m. December 31, 2003. To make an entry without pledging (use this form) or you may email mail@mpr.org, call 800-227-2811 or send a post card handwritten with the message "2003 Automobile Giveaway", your name, street address, city/state/zip code and phone number to 2003 Automobile Giveaway, Minnesota Public Radio, 45 East 7th Street, St. Paul, MN 55101 to arrive by December 31, 2003. Entries with incomplete information will be disqualified. Limit one entry per person. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified.
ELIGIBILITY
Anyone can enter the giveaways except persons who on or after January 1, 2003 were or are employees of American Public Media Group and its related organizations, including Minnesota Public Radio, their immediate family or persons living in the same household and employees of Luther Automobile Dealerships, credit union/finance company and related organizations, their immediate family or persons living in the same household. The giveaway is open to any United States resident except those from New York State. Void where prohibited by law. Winners must be 18 years of age or older.
PRIZE
Up to a $20,000 value toward one automobile selected from a Luther Automobile Dealership. If the value of the automobile selected by the winner is less than $20,000, the cash difference will not be refunded. The winner may apply the $20,000 to an automobile of higher value and pay the difference. Prize is only available at a Luther Automobile Dealership.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
A winner and nine back up names for the prize will be selected by random drawing and announced on Minnesota Public Radio news and music stations. Winner will be drawn by January 31, 2004. Winner will be notified by telephone or certified mail. If Minnesota Public Radio is unable to reach the winner or the winner is unable to accept the prize within 10 days, the unawarded prize will go to the first back up and subsequent back-ups thereof until the prize is awarded. Winner must provide their social security number. The rules detailing giveaway eligibility and method of selecting winners are on file at Minnesota Public Radio. The chances of winning are dependent upon the number of entries.
GENERAL
By participating in these Giveaways, participants agree that Minnesota Public Radio, American Public Media Group and related organizations, their agents and employees have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize, or by participation in the contest. Prize must be taken within one year from the date of award, except where otherwise noted. Prizes are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. There can be no substitutions for a prize of equal or greater value. Minnesota Public Radio may use winners' names and likenesses for publicity purposes without further compensation. Taxes and expenses as a result of winning this prize are the winner's responsibility. Winners will receive an IRS form 1099 with the above stated value at year-end. Winner is responsible for pickup of the prize at a Luther Automobile Dealership.
RESTRICTIONS
By participating in the Giveaway, a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest judges. Winner is responsible for any applicable sales taxes and license fees.
