Official Young People's Contest Rules
People 13 and older should enter the Adults' Contest

How to Enter:
No purchase or pledge necessary. Making a purchase or pledge will not increase your chances of winning this contest. To enter the contest submit your entry with your name, address, email address (if applicable) and phone number to: Young People's Good Tidings Contest, Minnesota Public Radio, 45 East 7th St., St. Paul, MN 55101 by midnight CT, December 12, 2001. Include your parent or legal guardian's name and daytime phone number with your entry so we may contact you if you win. Include your parent or legal guardian's email address if there is one. One entry per person. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified.

Eligibility:
Anyone can enter the contest except persons who on or after March 15, 2001, were or are employees of the Children's Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota, American Public Media Group and its related organizations, their immediate family or persons living in the same household. The contest is open to any United States resident age 12 or younger. Void where prohibited by law.

Good Tidings on the Web:
Minnesota Public Radio will post selected submissions on the Web site as they are received. Only electronic submissions (Web and email) will be considered for Web posting. Selection for Web posting is not an indicator that the submission is a contest finalist. MPR reserves the right not to post a submission.

Prize:
Grand Prize: A 4 pack of season tickets to The Children's Theater in Minneapolis, MN (value $360 Five runners-up: Magnetic poetry set (value $20).

Selection and notification of winners:
Winner and backup names for the prizes will be selected by a panel of judges and notified by phone, email, or in writing. The winner will be chosen by December 20, 2001, and announced on air December 21, 2001. If Minnesota Public Radio is unable to reach the winner or the winner is unable to accept the prize within 30 days, the unawarded prize will go to the first back-up and subsequent backups thereof until prize is awarded. The rules detailing contest eligibility and method of selecting winners are on file at Minnesota Public Radio. The chances of winning are dependent upon the number of entries. Winner's parent or guardian must provide identification and sign a release and a receipt for the prize awarded.

General:
By participating in the Young People's Good Tidings Contest, participants agree that Minnesota Public Radio, American Public Media Group and related organizations, their agents, and employees, have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize, or by participation in the contest. Prizes must be claimed within one year from the date of award, except where otherwise noted. Prizes are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. There can be no substitutions for a prize of equal or greater value. Minnesota Public Radio and Minnesota Monthly may use winners' names and likenesses for publicity purposes without further compensation. Taxes and expenses as a result of winning this prize are the winner's responsibility.

Restrictions:
By participating in the contest, a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest judges. Winner's parent or guardian's name may be obtained by sending a request prior to January 31, 2002 to: Young People Winner's List /Good Tidings Competition, MPR, 45 East Seventh Street, St. Paul, MN 55101.
