Official Adults' Contest Rules
People 12 and younger should enter the Young People's Contest

How to Enter:
No purchase or pledge necessary. Making a purchase or pledge will not increase your chances of winning this contest. To enter the contest submit your entry with your name, address, email address (if applicable) and phone number to: Adults' Good Tidings Contest, Minnesota Public Radio, 45 East 7th St., St. Paul, MN 55101 by midnight CT, December 12, 2001 One entry per person. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified.

Eligibility:
Anyone can enter the Good Tidings Contest except persons who on or after March 15, 2001 , were or are employees of American Public Media Group and its related organizations, Borders Books and Music, the Sony Corporation, or Theatre de la Jeune Lune, their immediate family or persons living in the same household. The Adults' Good Tidings Contest is open to any United States resident age 13 or older. Void where prohibited by law.

Good Tidings on the Web:
Minnesota Public Radio will post selected submissions on the Web site as they are received. Only electronic submissions (Web and email) will be considered for Web posting. Selection for Web posting is not an indicator that the submission is a contest finalist. MPR reserves the right not to post a submission.

Prize:
Grand Prize: Sony SCD-C555ES 5 Disk Multi-Channel SACD/CD Changer. (value $1,700) Nine runners-up:: $100 gift certificates to Borders Books & Music. Good for one year. (value $100) Most Musical Entry: a pair of tickets to Theatre de la Jeune Lune's performance of Cosi Fan Tutte (value $50)

Winners and backups for the prizes will be selected by a panel of judges and notified by phone, email, or in writing. The winner will be chosen by December 20, 2001 and announced on air December 21, 2001. If Minnesota Public Radio is unable to reach the winner or the winner is unable to accept the prize within 30 days, the unawarded prize will go to the first runner-up and subsequent backups thereof until prize is awarded. The rules detailing contest eligibility and method of selecting winners are on file at Minnesota Public Radio. The chances of winning are dependent upon the number of entries. Grand-prize winner must provide his or her Social Security number and sign a release form.

General:
By participating in the Adults' Good Tidings Contest, participants agree that Minnesota Public Radio, American Public Media Group and related organizations, their agents, and employees, have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize, or by participation in the contest. Prizes must be claimed within one year from the date of award, except where otherwise noted. Prizes are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. There can be no substitutions for a prize of equal or greater value. Minnesota Public Radio and Minnesota Monthly may use winners' names and likenesses for publicity purposes without further compensation. Taxes and expenses as a result of winning this prize are the winner's responsibility. Grand-prize winner will receive a 1099 with the above-stated value at year end.

Restrictions:
By participating in the Adults' Good Tidings Contest a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest judges.
