How to Enter: No purchase or pledge necessary. Making
a purchase or pledge will not increase your chances of winning
this contest. To enter the drawing submit your completed puzzle
with your name, address, and phone number to: Crossword Puzzle,
Minnesota Public Radio, 45 East 7th St., St. Paul, MN 55101.
All entries must be received by September 3, 2001. One entry per person.
Eligibility: Only completed puzzles will be eligible
for the drawing. Anyone can enter the giveaways except persons
who on or after January 1, 2001, were or are employees of
American Public Media Group/Minnesota Communications Group
and its related organizations, their immediate family or persons
living in the same household. The giveaway is open to any
United States resident. Void where prohibited by law.
Prize: Grab bag of MPR merchandise: MPR CDs, book/booklet,
cups, T-shirts and other assorted merchandise. Retail value:
$150.
Selection and notification of winners: A winner and
nine backup names for the prize will be selected by random
drawing and notified by telephone and in writing. The winner
will be drawn by September 5, 2001, and announced on air.
If Minnesota Public Radio is unable to reach the winner or
the winner is unable to accept the prize within 30 days, the
unawarded prize will go to the first back-up and subsequent
backups thereof until prize is awarded. The rules detailing
giveaway eligibility and method of selecting winners are on
file at Minnesota Public Radio. The chances of winning are
dependent upon the number of entries.
General: By participating in the Minnesota State Crossword
drawing, participants agree that Minnesota Public Radio, American
Public Media Group and related organizations, their agents,
and employees, have no liability whatsoever for any injuries,
losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the
prize, or by participation in the contest. Prizes must be
claimed within one year from the date of award, except where
otherwise noted. Prizes are non-transferable, and cannot be
exchanged for cash. There can be no substitutions for a prize
of equal or greater value. Minnesota Public Radio may use
winners' names and likenesses for publicity purposes without
further compensation. Taxes and expenses as a result of winning
this prize are the winner's responsibility.
Restrictions: By participating in the giveaway, a participant
agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions
of the contest judges.
