Tune In to The Current for the Best of the Buzz at the South by Southwest 2009 Festival March 19-21

March 16, 2009

(St. Paul, Minn.)—March 16, 2009— Tune in to The Current March 19-21 to hear the best of the buzz from this year's South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. The Current's Jim McGuinn and Melanie Walker will provide daily updates Thursday-Saturday (9 a.m. 1, 5 and 9 p.m. CT)—reporting on the hype, the best new bands, reunions (i.e. Devo) and sightings of Minnesota bands loose on Austin's streets.

Tune in at 8 p.m. CT Thursday, March 19, to hear the Decemberists' concert at the NPR Music showcase. The band will be performing their entire new album "The Hazards of Love."

Those attending South by Southwest should stop by to say hi to Jim and Melanie at the Levi's Fader Fort party Thursday afternoon. The Current is the exclusive radio partner for this year's Fader Fort party, traditionally one of the best day party spots of the entire festival. This year's lineup is no exception.
