Minnesota Public Radio invites listeners to Rochester event

WHAT: An interactive session of the MPR's Advocates Network, bringing together listeners, members of the general public and MPR staff to discuss the future of public radio and rally support for MPR's public affairs efforts at the state and federal level.

WHEN: Wednesday, November 12, 5–6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Rochester Art Center, 40 Civic Center Dr SE, Rochester, Minn.

Minnesota Public Radio listeners and members of the general public are invited to a meeting of the Minnesota Public Radio Advocates Network on Wednesday, November 12 at the Rochester Art Center. The event will be an interactive session bringing together advocates and staff to discuss the future of public radio and rally support for MPR's public affairs effort at the state and federal level.

The event will feature a welcome from Tom Kigin, MPR's executive vice president, with a briefing about the challenges and opportunities facing public broadcasting today. Area elected officials will also be invited. Refreshments will be served.
