89.3 The Current and the Citizens League present "Policy and a Pint: Economic Meltdown" October 22 at the Varsity Theater, Minneapolis

WHAT: The stock market is sliding. Unemployment is rising. The bail out passed, but credit continues to be tight. Recession—a bad recession—seems inevitable.

The Current and The Citizen's League will host a Policy and a Pint to talk about the repercussions for Minnesota. American Public Media's Senior Economics Editor Chris Farrell will join 89.3 The Current host Steve Seel and other guests to answer the urgent questions people have about their money, their job and their community.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 22 Doors are at 5:30 p.m.; the program starts at 6 p.m.

WHERE: The Varsity Theater, 1308 4th St. SE, Minneapolis
