Minnesota Public Radio News expands its reach in Decorah
New translator doubles coverage

A new translator is boosting Minnesota Public Radio News coverage in Decorah on 97.3 FM. The translator effectively doubles the coverage area of KLNI 88.7 FM.
Listeners can enjoy a larger coverage area with public radio favorites, such as Morning Edition with Cathy Wurzer, Midmorning with Kerri Miller, Midday with Gary Eichten and All Things Considered with Tom Crann, as well as A Prairie Home Companion®, Marketplace®, Speaking of Faith®, The Splendid Table® and Weekend America®.
"We are thrilled to be able to provide a wider range of service area to our listeners in northeast Iowa," said Christine Cross, regional network manager. "Already we've had a lot of great feedback thanking us for helping the station reach a larger audience."
Classical music listeners can continue to enjoy Classical Minnesota Public Radio on KLCD 89.5 FM in Decorah, which can also be streamed on the Web at www.mpr.org/classical.
