Minnesota Public Radio News expands its reach in Warroad

Newly expanded service, KRXW 103.5 FM, now broadcasting in Warroad, Roseau, Greenbush, Baudette and surrounding region

October 2, 2008

Minnesota Public Radio News is now broadcasting on KRXW 103.5 FM. This brand-new higher-powered station reaches listeners in or near the communities of Greenbush, Badger, Roseau, Warroad, Roosevelt, Williams, Baudette and the southwestern shore of Lake of the Woods.

Listeners can enjoy public radio favorites, such as Morning Edition with Cathy Wurzer, Midmorning with Kerri Miller, Midday with Gary Eichten and All Things Considered with Tom Crann, as well as A Prairie Home Companion®, Marketplace®, Speaking of Faith®, The Splendid Table® and Weekend America®.

Minnesota Public Radio has been working with area listeners and many others to get a higher-power station built in the Roseau and Warroad area for several years.

Classical music listeners can continue to enjoy Classical Minnesota Public Radio on 100.7 FM in Roseau, which can also be streamed on the Web at www.mpr.org/classical.
