WHAT: On July 10, 89.3 The Current and the Citizens League will present the next installment of the popular Policy and a Pint series: "The China Tradeoff."
89.3 The Current host Steve Seel will moderate a discussion about the complicated U.S.-China trade relationship—and what it means for Minnesota. He will be joined Ambassador Alan Holmer, special envoy for China and the Strategic Economic Dialogue, Tony Lorusso, executive director of the Minnesota Trade Office.

"Policy and a Pint" is an ongoing series co-sponsored by Minnesota Public Radio's 89.3 The Current and Citizens League. The series' goal is to provide an informal setting for the public to come and discuss important policy issues with community leaders and thinkers.
About Ambassador Alan Holmer
Ambassador Alan Holmer is special envoy for China and the Strategic Economic Dialogue. He was deputy U.S. trade representative under President Ronald Reagan, ran the anti-dumping and anti-subsidy programs at the Commerce Department, chaired the international trade practice at a major international law firm, and most recently was President and CEO of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).
About Executive Director Tony Lorusso
Tony Lorusso was appointed in November 2003 as executive director of the Minnesota Trade Office, the state's official export development arm. Under Lorusso's direction, the Minnesota Trade Office also is the lead agent for the Minnesota-China Partnership, a new broad-based, statewide strategy to enhance Minnesota's relationship with China.
