Minnesota Public Radio presents the world-renowned choir of men and boys from England, the St. Paul's Cathedral Choir of London, at the Cathedral of Saint Paul on June 24, 2008. The event takes place in cooperation with the Twin Cities chapter of the American Guild of Organists, in conjunction of the biennial AGO national convention, which takes place in the Twin Cities June 21–29.

Director Andrew Carwood leads an ensemble of 33 singers in a diverse program spanning several centuries of British cathedral music. The St. Paul's Cathedral Choir is the third English choir to be presented by MPR in recent years, with sold-out performances of the Westminster Cathedral Choir and King's College Choir setting the stage—or altar, as it were—for another fine evening of sacred music.

About St. Paul's Cathedral Choir
Founded in 1127 by Bishop Richard de Belmeis, St. Paul's Cathedral Choir has long been celebrated for its authentic evocation of ancient monastic prayers. Nine centuries after its first performance at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, the choir continues to inspire and entertain audiences the world over.

About the Cathedral School
St. Paul's Cathedral Choir's 30 student choristers are selected by audition and rehearse twice a day at the Cathedral School. In addition to completing their regular academic studies and sporting activities, these talented young singers are also required to study piano and one other instrument, ensuring a level of discipline and musicianship unrivaled by any choral academy in the world.
