American Public Media | Minnesota Public Radio announces the appointment of Margaret Ann Hennen as vice president of Corporate Communications and Community Relations

American Public Media | Minnesota Public Radio announced today the appointment of its vice president of Corporate Communications and Community Relations, Margaret Ann Hennen.

Hennen will lead the Corporate Communications team and provide strategic leadership for press and media relations. A graduate of St. Cloud State University, Margaret Ann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English, Spanish and speech and a Master of Arts degree in English literature, as well as a master's in business communications public relations certificate from the University of St. Thomas.

"Margaret Ann is a strategic communicator and leader," said Jon McTaggart, chief operating officer for American Public Media | Minnesota Public Radio. "She is a long-time, ardent fan of our programming and we are fortunate to add her experience, skills and creative energy to our team."

Margaret Ann grew up in rural Minnesota, which shaped her passion for volunteerism with a focus on education-related programming with a number of community-based organizations, including Prepare Saint Paul, Minnesota Literacy Council, the Minnesota Humanities Commission, the United Way and Open Arms of Minnesota.

A former high school teacher, Margaret Ann has worked in the Twin Cities as a communications professional since 1984. Most recently, Margaret Ann was system director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations for Fairview Health Services. Her background also includes leadership positions with Fortis Financial Group and Unisys Corporation.
