Minnesota Public Radio's In the Loop invites audiences to free live taping: "Your Exposed Life"

Program to explore Googlegangers and other Internet identities in first episode of new weekly format

October 3, 2007

Who are you...and who are you online? Have you Googled yourself lately? Do you know who your Googlegangers are?

Love it or hate it, the Internet is messing with our sense of identity. Just a few minutes spent online shows how much of our personal tastes and history—our identities—are laid out for the entire world to see...forever. What should we do with this new exposed life—embrace it? Try to control it? And how much does it control us?

WHAT: In the Loop welcomes a studio audience in The UBS Forum for a live taping of its newest episode, "Your Exposed Life," to explore how the Internet has affected our public and private personas, all folded into the show's signature style of live music, humor, essays and interviews.

WHEN: Live taping: Thursday, October 11, 6:30–8:30 p.m.

WHERE: The UBS Forum at Minnesota Public Radio, 480 Cedar Street, St. Paul

TICKETS: FREE, including free beer and munchies before the show; reservations are required. Visit www.mpr.org/intheloop to reserve tickets for this and all upcoming episodes.

TUNE IN: In the Loop will begin broadcasting weekly on Sundays at 6 p.m. and repeating on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on all Minnesota Public Radio News stations, including KNOW 91.1 FM in the Twin Cities. For more information, visit www.mpr.org/intheloop.
