Minnesota Public Radio to Present On-Stage Performances and Live Broadcasts Throughout the 2007 Minnesota State Fair
MPR to host the state's top elected officials, live music performances, radio broadcasts and A Prairie Home Companion at the Grandstand
(St. Paul, Minn.)—July 30, 2007—Minnesota Public Radio will sponsor live broadcasts and on-stage events every day of this year's Minnesota State Fair. Hosts from MPR News, The Current and Classical Minnesota Public Radio will be on hand to present the chance to experience political leaders, local bands such as Chooglin', Romantica, Spider John Koerner and Tony Glover, and even Garrison Keillor.
Aug. 31 is "Minnesota Public Radio Day at the State Fair." During the day, host Gary Eichten will interview top statewide elected officials during a live broadcast of Midday from Carousel Park. There will also be special performances from Walker Kong, the Minnesota Opera and A Prairie Home Companion at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand.
WHERE: All broadcasts and performances will be held at the Minnesota Public Radio booth, at the corner of Judson and Nelson, unless otherwise noted.
