Talking Volumes Series Earns Prestigious Gracie Allen Award®

Minnesota Public Radio announced today that the popular Talking Volumes series has received a Gracie Allen Award®, presented by the American Women in Radio & Television.
Talking Volumes, the joint book club of Minnesota Public Radio, The Star Tribune, and The Loft Literary Center, spotlights a different book each month with feature articles, live broadcasts with the author, in-person readings and discussions, and more.
Talking Volumes won this year's Gracie in the Special category, noted for its superior quality in writing, production and programming amidst a record-breaking number of entries.
American Women in Radio & Television (AWRT) is the national, nonprofit organization that extends membership to qualified professionals in the electronic media and allied fields. AWRT's mission is to advance the impact of women in the electronic media and allied fields by educating, advocating and acting as a resource to its members and the industry. Founded in 1951, AWRT has worked to improve the quality of broadcast programming and the image of women as depicted in radio, television and cable.
National AWRT award winners will be honored at the 32nd Annual Gracie Awards® Gala to be held on Monday, June 18, 2007 in the Broadway Ballroom at the New York Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway, New York, NY 10036. The event benefits the Foundation of the American Women in Radio & Television, a charitable nonprofit.
This is Minnesota Public Radio's 31st Gracie Allen Award.
