Minnesota Public Radio's Broadcast Journalist Series welcomes Jon Gordon, host of American Public Media's nationally broadcast program Future Tense, to the Kagin Commons' Hill Ballroom on the campus of Macalester College on March 7.

Gordon's speech, entitled "The Plugged-In Generation," will discuss the growing influence technology is having on young people in America.

The early adopters of technology are often the youngest consumers. From MySpace to YouTube and massively multiplayer online role playing games, young people are increasingly interacting with the world through a technological lens. Gordon will explore how this interaction is changing young people and the technology they are using.

About Jon Gordon
Jon Gordon is creator, producer and host of St. Paul-based American Public Media's Future Tense, a daily technology report that airs during MPR's Morning Edition each weekday morning and during the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's As It Happens each weekday evening. Gordon joined Minnesota Public Radio in 1990 and has served as a producer and reporter covering general news, suburban issues and politics.
