Classical Minnesota Public Radio to Broadcast the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra LIVE from the Musikverein in Vienna

On Tuesday, January 23, Classical Minnesota Public Radio will feature a special LIVE broadcast of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra at the legendary Musikverein in Vienna during their European tour.

With conductor Roberto Abbado and pianist Lars Vogt, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra's performance includes Gyorgy Ligeti's Ramifications, Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1, Arnold Schönberg's Chamber Symphony No. 2 and Franz Josef Haydn's Symphony No. 93. John Birge will host live from Vienna.

The occasion marks the first appearance of both the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Roberto Abbado in the Musikverein. Birge will also interview four students from the SPCO Connect program who are accompanying the orchestra on their tour.

This live broadcast from Vienna is part of Classical Minnesota Public Radio's long tradition of commitment to its community arts partners in Minnesota.
