About Pat Donahue, guitar
Donohue is a master guitarist and talented singer-songwriter of blues, folk and jazz. His long association with Garrison Keillor as guitarist for the Guys All-Star Shoe Band of American Public Media's A Prairie Home Companion gives Pat the opportunity to entertain with savvy licks and original songs to millions of listeners each week.

His honors include a 2005 Grammy for his participation on Pink Guitar, a compilation of Henry Mancini tunes on acoustic guitar, 1983 National Finger-Picking Guitar Champion and several Minnesota Music Awards. Chet Atkins called Pat one of the greatest finger pickers in the world today; Leo Kottke called his playing "haunting." His original tunes have been recorded by Chet Atkins, Suzy Bogguss and Kenny Rogers.

Donohue will be joined by accordionist Dan Newton in Bemidji and St. Cloud, bassist Gary Raynor in Fergus Falls and jazz violinist Randy Sabien in Winona and Ely.

About Dan Newton, accordion
Dan Newton performs regularly as a solo accordionist and in a variety of ensembles, including Cafe Accordion Orchestra. He is a frequent guest artist on American Public Media's A Prairie Home Companion and tours nationally and internationally, performing at festivals and events around the world.

About Gary Raynor, bass
Bassist Gary Raynor, a regular with American Public Media's A Prairie Home Companion, toured with Sammy Davis, Jr., for several years and has performed with the Count Basie band, the original Carlton Celebrity Room Orchestra, the Minnesota Pops Orchestra and dozens of Broadway touring shows.

About Randy Sabien, jazz violin
Jazz violinist Randy Sabien is a regular with American Public Media's A Prairie Home Companion. NPR's Jazz Profiles dubbed Sabien "The past, present and future of jazz violin." His eclectic style started with classical violin lessons. From there he learned how to play along with records by the Grateful Dead, Papa John Creach, James Taylor and others.
