Classical Minnesota Public Radio to Broadcast Special LIVE Two-Hour St. Olaf Christmas Festival on December 3

WHAT: Minnesota Public Radio's LIVE broadcast of the St. Olaf Christmas Festival with host Brian Newhouse

WHEN: Sunday, December 3, 2006, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

TUNE IN: The St. Olaf Christmas Festival can be heard on Classical Minnesota Public Radio stations around the region, including on KSJN 99.5 FM in the Twin Cities.  Audio from this event will also be streamed live at www.mpr.org.

Classical Minnesota Public Radio announces the live two-hour broadcast of the 2006 St. Olaf Christmas Festival on Sunday, December 3 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., hosted by Brian Newhouse.

The St. Olaf Christmas Festival is a worship service of hymns, carols, choral works and orchestral selections.  In its 95th year, the service is one of the oldest musical selections of Christmas in the United States.  Five choirs and the St. Olaf Orchestra feature more than 500 participating student musicians.

The program will be repeated on all Classical Minnesota Public Radio stations on December 22 at 8 p.m.
