Minnesota Public Radio News Stations to Host and Broadcast Live FINAL Debates of U.S. Senatorial and Minnesota Gubernatorial Candidates

WHAT: U.S. Senatorial and Minnesota gubernatorial candidate debates, moderated by Kerri Miller and Gary Eichten
WHEN: Sunday, November 5, 2006, 7-9 p.m.
WHERE: MPR's Fitzgerald Theater, 10 E. Exchange St, St. Paul
TUNE IN: The debates will be broadcast live on all Minnesota Public Radio News stations, including KNOW 91.1 FM in the Twin Cities and streaming online at www.mpr.org
TICKETS: This event is free and open to the general public.

(St. Paul, Minn.) October 30, 2006—Minnesota Public Radio will broadcast two live debates, moderated by Midmorning host Kerri Miller and Midday host Gary Eichten, between the three major party U.S. Senate candidates and the three major party gubernatorial candidates on Sunday, November 5 at the Fitzgerald Theater.
Minnesota's U.S. Senatorial candidates Mark Kennedy (R), Amy Klobuchar (DFL) and Robert Fitzgerald (IP) will square off in a one-hour debate starting at 7 p.m., followed by Minnesota gubernatorial candidates Tim Pawlenty (R), Mike Hatch (DFL) and Peter Hutchinson (IP) at 8 p.m.
