Mary Pat Ladner Named Director of Marketing for Minnesota Public Radio and American Public Media

(St. Paul, Minn.) July 17, 2006—Mary Pat Ladner has been named director of marketing for Minnesota Public Radio and its national distribution division, American Public Media.

Ladner will provide marketing leadership and develop strategies for American Public Media's 33 nationally distributed radio programs, internet content and programming as well as its 37-station regional radio networks in the upper Midwest and sister station, Southern California Public Radio, in Los Angeles.

"Mary Pat brings a terrific breadth of experience to our organization. Because we have a strong national and regional presence, her knowledge of national brands and strategies is a perfect match for us," said Tim Roesler, senior vice president, Sales, Marketing & Distribution at Minnesota Public Radio and American Public Media. "As the media world grows in the digital space, Mary Pat will provide critical expertise for American Public Media to lead in internet service."

With extensive experience in the marketing field in both New York and Minnesota, Ladner was formerly group manager of interactive marketing at Target.com and senior manager of Marshall Field's Direct. She also served as director of strategic marketing communications for WAM!NET Inc., as well as a management supervisor for Martin/Williams Advertising and an advertising account manager for Saatchi & Saatchi, Bozell Inc.

Ladner received her undergraduate degree from Montana State University and has completed additional coursework from New York University, the University of St. Thomas and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
