May 25, 2006
Minnesota Public Radio has named Kristi Booth senior district manager.
Since 1997, Booth served as Minnesota Public Radio's district manager in north central and central Minnesota. As senior district manager, she is now responsible for the day-to-day operations, administration, and management of all Minnesota Public Radio stations in greater Minnesota. Booth will continue to work from Minnesota Public Radio's Bemidji District office.
"Over the years, Kristi has worked to strengthen communities and advocate on behalf of our listeners in northern and central Minnesota," said Erik Nycklemoe, Minnesota Public Radio's director of broadcasting. "We are fortunate that she will now bring her talents and expertise to serving audiences throughout the state."
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead our stations in greater Minnesota," said Booth. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to better serve our non-metro audiences."
Booth has more than 16 years experience in public relations, fundraising, and public service. Prior to her work at Minnesota Public Radio, Booth was the executive director of the United Way of the Bemidji Area. She also spent two years in an overseas Peace Corps assignment in Papua New Guinea.
Booth lives near Bemidji with her husband, Steve, and their two children.
