The week of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 100th birthday events begins with a gathering of townspeople around a giant birthday cake in Landmark Center for the singing of "Happy Birthday," and followed by birthday cake for all.

Fitzgerald: Books, Movies, Music and More
TUESDAY - THURSDAY SEPT. 24-26; 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM, and 5 PM - 11 PM

Story time, movie time and music time! Listen to writers and actors read Fitzgerald's works, watch Fitzgerald-era movies, listen to music, enjoy good food, learn 1920s-era dances and participate in other fun activities.

A Literature Festival

High school and college students meet with renowned writers to explore the world of literature, writing and publishing.

Commemorative Stamp Ceremony

Stamp collectors converge at Landmark Center for the U.S. Postal Service first-day issue ceremonies of the the stamp honoring Fitzgerald.

Bronze Sculpture Dedication
FRIDAY, SEPT. 27; 4 PM
Rice Park Fitzgerald returns home to Saint Paul when the bronze sculpture by Minnesota sculptor Michael B. Price is unveiled.

The Theater Parade and Family Celebration

Theater companies unite for a parade around Rice Park followed by outdoor theater productions and fireworks.

Marathon Reading of The Great Gatsby
SATURDAY, SEPT. 28; 10 AM - 3 PM
The Fitzgerald Theater
Come and go at your leisure as celebrities read Fitzgerald's classic onstage. Before, after, and between readings enjoy coffee and snacks in the world's largest coffee house under a big top in front of the theater.

A Prairie Home Companion and Great Gatsby Ball
SATURDAY SEPT. 28; 5 PM - 10 PM
Roy Wilkins Auditorium
