Put your words to the sounds of the season! Giving Thanks combines traditional fare with unexpected delights. For Thanksgiving 2003, we've invited some wonderful guests to the program, including Wendy Wasserstein, Donald Hall, and highlights from the Broadway production of Thornton Wilder's Our Town. An American Thanksgiving with the Dale Warland Singers. The Morning Show Holiday Pageant The show featured performances by Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, whose repertoire covers bluegrass, swing, and traditional folk music. A centerpiece of the evening was the Morning Show Players' retelling of a Frank Capra classic we now call "Wonderful, It's a Life." Cool Yule: The Flip Side of Holiday Music American Routes' Nick Spitzer and the resident conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra , Bill Eddins, bring their favorite holiday music selections and talk about them. MPR's Julie Amacher serves as moderator to bring out the personalities of her guests. Home for the Holidays with Minnesota Public Radio Listen Julie Amacher hosts an hour of holiday memories and traditions with the hosts of Minnesota Public Radio. Guests include Cathy Wurzer, Scott Simon, Gary Eichten, and Lianne Hansen. A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols Minnesota Public Radio celebrates 25 years of the live Christmas Eve broadcasts from Kings College Chapel, Cambridge, England.
