Title: The Worst Christmas Experience

Driving through the streets,
I look out the window
of our minivan,
careening through the snow.
Cheesy music's on,
my stuffy coat is hot,
why do we have to visit Gran.
when I need to use the pot?

Got to go!
Got to go!
Stop the car right now!
My pleads go unheeded,
and through the streets we plow.
Got to go!
Got to go!
I feel like I could burst!
I'm gonna wet myself today,
this Christmas is the worst!

Finally we get there
(my parents are such jerks)
I ask grandma 'bout the toilet,
and she said it doesn't work!
I try to hold it in,
but my juices want to flow.
I have to face explosion
or let loose into the snow!

Got to go!
Got to go!
Stop the car right now!
My pleads go unheeded,
and through the streets we plow.
Got to go!
Got to go!
I feel like I could burst!
I'm gonna wet myself today,
this Christmas is the worst!

My grandpa went to cut
the fir tree in his backyard.
Then we opened presents,
with those corny little cards.
Grandpa began to laugh,
about the Christmas tree.
He said it came pre-watered,
by the courtesy of... me!

Got to go!
Got to go!
Stop the car right now!
My pleads go unheeded,
and through the streets we plow.
Had to go!
Had to go!
My tip for Christmas eve:
Go before you start the trip,
or you'll end up like me!

Swishing through the fog
with my own two pairs of skies.
Looking at the snow
right before my knees.
See a jump ahead.
Can't turn away.
Looks like end is near.
Oh I'm not to say.

Fly and fall, fly and fall
hope I don't hit ice!
Look at me I'm flying here
just like rolling dice.
Fly and fall, fly and fall
hope no tree ahead!
As I fall, I hit a doll
I don't think I'm dead!

Kyle, 11, Mahtomedi, MN

Chorus
Santa came, just last night, riding on his sleigh
he brought nice gifts and cheer for all, for every girl and boy
Santa came, just last night, riding in his sleigh
he brought nice gifts and cheer for all, for every girl and boy

verse
Grandpa's coming here, he's bringing grandma too
she said she's bring some pie, oh please grandma do!
It's Christmas dinner's day, the steaming ham's set out
The turkey dinner has been placed, so let's all give a shout!

(chorus)

Paul and Max, 11 and 12, Edina, MN

POWER SHOPPING

Chorus
Power shopping, power shopping, it is what we do
You should try it, you should try it
you will like it too
Power shopping, power shopping, it is what we do
you would try it, you would try it,
you will like it too

verse
Dashing through the mall, with 10 bags in our hands
Boy this is a ball, we're Abercrombie fans!
Racing to that shop, to get those platform shoes
purple is the new pink, boy that is bad news, ohh

(chorus)

A day or two ago, I thought I'd take a run,
to the mall and have some fun, but I ran into a nun!
She said to slow down, because it wasn't legal
I said look there's a clown, and I ran to American Eagle

(chorus)

Molly and Kristin, 11 and 12, Edina, MN

Rustling through the tree
searching for my gifts
through the branches
I go excited as can be!
Yip pee!
Ornaments here and there,
lights twinkling in my eyes,
what fun it is to search the tree while my parents are asleep.
Oh, Santa Claus, Santa Claus, Santa won't you come?
Oh, what fun it would be to get my gifts tonight!
Santa Claus, Santa Claus, Santa won't you come?
Oh, what fun it would be to get my gifts tonight! Hey!

Snow is here,
Snow is here,
lets go snowboarding,
and have lots of fun,
'Cuz winter time is here,

O, going down the hills,
on the fresh powder,
going on the jumps,
getting major air,
braking my arm,
going to the hospital,
coming back in a week,
and going on the hills O,

Snow is here,
Snow is here,
Lets go snowboarding,
and have lots of fun,
Snowboarding!

Family Time
Driving through the streets in our mini van named Stella.
Through the houses we go with lights and the big red fella. Ho Ho Ho
We're fighting in the back while mom and dad ignore.
On the way to grandma's house where grandpa always snores Hey!

Family time, family time it's the greatest thing,
with aunts and uncles, cousins and pets and the joy that they all bring. Hey!

Family time, family time it's a time of stress.
Mom is cooking, Dad is shoveling and the kids are making a mess. Hey!

Stephanie, 11, Shorewood, MN

God is born, God is Born, God is born today,
He is born in Bethlehem and in a manger stay,
God is born, God is Born, God is born today,
He is born in Bethlehem and in a manger lay.

The three kings traveled far,
Over hill and stream,
Till they came upon,
Our author and our king.
They brought gifts from afar,
and laid them on the hay,
They praised and worshiped Jesus
who was born on Christmas day.

O, God is born, God is Born, God is born today,
He is born in Bethlehem and in a manger stay,
God is born, God is Born, God is born today,
He is born in Bethlehem and in a manger lay.

Marissa, 12, Jackson, MN

Dashing down the road
Cause I've just missed the bus
White flurries block my vision
and ice speeds the rush.
As I take my seat,
my friends and I all sing
What dreadful things will happen
once the school bell rings.

Oh.. Jingle bells, school smells
the garbage really stinks.
the teachers are really nice
and the homework's cols as ice.
Oh.. Jingle bells, school smells
the garbage really stinks.
the teachers are really nice
and the homework's cols as ice.

Dashing through the snow on a
2-horse open sleigh,
on the field we go, laughing all the way.
Bells are ringing right,
and lights are really bright.
And now we're singing carols all the night.

Oh, Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to ride in a 2-horse open sleigh.
Hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.
Oh what fun it is to ride in a 2-horse open sleigh.
